History in the making. Chippewa senior Abby Sines matched the school record for career wins today, earning her 61st victory with a hard-fought win over Orrville’s Alaina Yeagley.

In dramatic fashion, Sines fought back after a double fault put her behind 40-30. She responded by winning a wild volley with a short tap, then sealed the record-tying moment with a perfectly placed cross shot just inside the near line.

With the win, Sines improves to 9-0 overall this season and 6-0 in NET play. Her career record now stands at 61-20, tying 2022 graduates Katie Harlan and Ally Murphy atop the program’s all-time leaderboard.

She’ll have a chance to stand alone in first place on Thursday, when the Lady Chipps take on Canton McKinley.
