The Lady Chipps finished their Northeast Tennis League regular season undefeated at 9-0, clinching the championship with a dramatic 3-2 win over Canton South.

The Lady Chipps secured their spot as NET League regular season champions in dramatic fashion, pulling out a thrilling 3-2 victory over Canton South. Both teams entered the night undefeated at 8-0, and the battle lived up to the hype.

With the match tied 2-2, the outcome came down to third singles, where Emma Kirkhart fought for nearly three hours, showing determination and grit to win in three sets. Her relentless effort sealed the championship for Chippewa.

Abby Sines dominated at first singles with a straight-set victory, while Clara Kirkhart bounced back from a first-set loss to win convincingly at second singles. Though both doubles courts fought hard, Canton South edged out close wins.

The victory not only capped an undefeated 12-0 overall record, but also showcased the Lady Chipps’ resilience, teamwork, and never-quit attitude. Next up: preparations begin for the league tournament, where the girls aim to carry their momentum forward.
