Tough Start, Strong Fight.

Chippewa Boys Soccer opened the 2025 season against Northwest, with Varsity falling 3-0 and JV fighting to a 1-1 draw in a competitive doubleheader.


The Chippewa Boys Soccer program kicked off the 2025 season with a hard-fought matchup against Northwest. Both Varsity and JV squads showed grit and determination, setting the tone for the year ahead.

Varsity Recap
Despite creating numerous scoring opportunities, the Chipps Varsity team dropped a 3-0 decision to Northwest. Goals from Will Metzger and Tim Bahl, along with an own goal, accounted for Northwest’s scoring. Chippewa generated 16 shots and earned seven corner kicks but were unable to capitalize. Goalkeeper Davey Hutchison recorded four saves to keep the team in contention, while Northwest’s Lukas Snyder also stopped four shots.

JV Recap
The Junior Varsity matchup ended in a competitive 1-1 draw. Titus Klotzle scored the lone goal for the Chipps, assisted by Calvin Gasser, while Jaxon Collett found the net for Northwest. In goal, Holden LeFever tallied six saves to secure the tie.

The doubleheader reflected the Chipps’ resilience and effort, as both teams continue to develop early in the season. With plenty of positives to build on, the program is looking ahead to turning chances into results in upcoming matches.
