Frogs. Focus. Discovery.

Students in Mrs. Ogg’s Biology Class at Chippewa Jr./Sr. High School dove into frog dissection this week, turning curiosity into hands-on learning as they explored anatomy and scientific observation.

Chippewa’s Biology students made the leap from textbook to table as they dissected frogs this week, gaining real-world insights into internal anatomy. The lab buzzed with questions, focus, and a healthy dose of scientific curiosity.

Throughout the dissection process, students practiced careful observation, identification, and collaboration, using what they’ve learned in class to guide their discoveries. For many, this was their first opportunity to see how body systems work together in a living organism—an experience that deepened their understanding of biology in a meaningful, memorable way.

This kind of hands-on learning not only reinforces classroom content but also nurtures essential skills like critical thinking, teamwork, and resilience. It’s moments like these that help shape future scientists, veterinarians, and researchers right here at Chippewa.

The room was filled with excitement, a few surprised reactions, and a lot of “a-ha” moments as students examined organs and systems firsthand. The pride on their faces showed just how powerful experiential learning can be.

As the year winds down, this lab reminds us of the value of curiosity, care, and the courage to explore the unknown. Stay tuned—there’s always more discovery ahead!
