Important Immunization Requirements for the Class of 2027 💉🩺
Stay Healthy. Stay Enrolled.
All students entering the 12th grade for the 2026-2027 school year must provide proof of required Meningococcal vaccinations to Chippewa Jr./Sr. High School.
As we look ahead to the fall, we want to ensure every student is prepared for a successful start to their senior year. Ohio school law now requires all students entering 12th grade to show proof of specific immunizations to protect the health and safety of our entire school community.
To meet these state requirements, students must provide documentation of the following:
- Two doses of Meningococcal (A, C, Y, W-135) vaccine. * Note: If the first dose was administered on or after the student’s 16th birthday, a second dose is not required.
Compliance with this law is essential for maintaining enrollment. Any 12th-grade student who has not provided proof of vaccination—or a written medical exemption from a physician—will not be permitted to attend school after the deadline. We prioritize the well-being of our Chipps and appreciate your cooperation in keeping our hallways healthy.
We encourage families to schedule appointments soon, as clinics and pharmacies often experience high demand late in the summer. Be sure to bring your child’s immunization record to your appointment and request a signed copy of the vaccination dates for school records.
Please submit all documentation to the high school clinic as soon as the shots are completed.
- Deadline for Submission: September 14, 2026
- Location for Turn-in: Chippewa Jr./Sr. High School Main Office/Clinic
- Provider Options: Primary Care Physician, local Health Department, or local pharmacies
