Singles Sweep Powers the Streak.
Despite some drizzle and clouds, Chippewa’s girls tennis team extended its undefeated run to seven with a gritty 4-1 victory at Tallmadge.
Between fluffy fall clouds and the occasional drizzle, the Lady Chipps continued their perfect start with a 4-1 road win at Tallmadge.
All three singles courts were dominant and efficient, while Tori King and Mak Dulin fought back after dropping a defensive first set to win in three. Rosie Pierce and Mila Pinkus battled through a tough tiebreak in the opener but couldn’t quite regain control in their doubles matchup.
The JV squad also had a strong night. Madi cruised in singles, Liv and Kamber pulled out tight tiebreak wins, and Andi/Serenity grabbed a hard-fought doubles victory. Aaliyah and Kennedy showed solid serving and net play but came up just short at top doubles.
