Top Speller, Twice Running.

Only the best spellers in the country make it to the Scripps National Spelling Bee—and one of them is Chippewa’s own Zach Yeager. This incredible eighth grader from Doylestown returned to the national stage for a second time, representing our school and community with pride.


This spring, eighth grader Zach Yeager made Chippewa Jr./Sr. High School proud by once again earning his spot at the prestigious Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. Competing among the nation’s best, Zach showcased not only his spelling skills but also his dedication, focus, and poise under pressure.

Zach’s journey to the national stage is the result of months of preparation, countless hours of studying, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. This is Zach’s second consecutive year qualifying for the Bee—an outstanding achievement that places him among an elite group of young scholars.

Events like this highlight the importance of academic competitions in building confidence, expanding vocabulary, and connecting students from across the country. Zach’s success brings pride not only to our school but to the entire Chipps community.
