Fair week is in full swing, and Chippewa Jr./Sr. High School is proud to have student fine art on display at the Wayne County Fair. This year marks our largest showcase yet, giving the entire community a chance to appreciate the creativity flourishing in our classrooms.
The expanded exhibit features 54 unique pieces of artwork created by 30 high school students under the guidance of art teachers Mr. Strauss and Mrs. Silasi. In a remarkable district-wide sweep, every single participating artist earned either a first-place or second-place ribbon for their entry.
Having student work exhibited on a countywide stage highlights the importance of the arts in our schools and deepens our connection to local traditions. It serves as a reminder of how much dedicated practice, individual expression, and patience happen daily in our studios.
There is a distinct sense of pride in seeing blue and red ribbons hanging beside familiar Chipp names in the exhibition halls. The hard work and imagination pouring out of our halls continue to represent the very best of our school community.
