High school students in the College Credit Plus program applied their statistics knowledge by surveying sixth graders and creating pie charts to analyze the results.
High school students in our College Credit Plus class recently brought their statistics lessons to life through a collaborative hands-on project. The students put their knowledge of categorical data analysis into practice by designing custom survey questions for our sixth graders.
After creating their questions, the high schoolers gathered responses from the younger students and constructed pie charts to summarize the data distributions. This active learning approach allowed the high school students to practice real-world data collection and visual communication in a meaningful setting.
Engaging directly with younger peers at Chippewa Jr./Sr. High School creates connections across grade levels and strengthens our school community. These interactions give our high school students a sense of leadership while inspiring our sixth graders for their future academic journeys.
Projects like this highlight the value of practical applications in higher-level coursework and showcase the dedication of our students. Seeing our older students mentor and collaborate with younger Chipps brings incredible pride and energy to our classrooms.
