Creativity in Action.

From backstage sign-ups to hosting festivals and contests, January is packed with exciting opportunities and performances for our choir and drama programs.


January is an exciting month for Chippewa’s choir and drama programs, filled with opportunities for students to shine both on and off the stage.

Backstage Crew sign-ups for the CIS musical Alice in Wonderland Jr. are happening this week and are on the choir room door. Students can join one of several crews: Wardrobe/Makeup, Stage Crew, Tech Crew, or Front of House Crew (ushers/tickets). These roles are crucial for bringing the production to life!

On Wednesday, January 22, Chippewa will proudly host the Wayne County Play Festival, welcoming seven schools to showcase their talents from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The event will feature an array of performances, celebrating the creativity and hard work of students across the county. The snow date is set for January 23.

On January 26, choir students will participate in the OMEA Solo and Ensemble Contest at Barberton High School. This all-day event features soloists and ensembles performing in a variety of skill classes. These performances showcase months of preparation and highlight the incredible talent within our choir program.

We’re proud of all our students’ dedication and can’t wait to see their hard work come to life this month. Stay tuned for updates and wish them the best as they perform and compete!

Game Time Updates.

Tonight’s Boys Varsity and JV basketball games against Fairless are still on at Serpentini Fieldhouse. The Girls JV game has been rescheduled.


The Boys Varsity and JV basketball games are still set to take place tonight at Serpentini Fieldhouse. The JV game will tip off at 5:30 PM, followed by the Varsity game at 7:00 PM, as the Chipps take on Fairless.

The JV Girls basketball game originally scheduled for tonight at 6:00 PM at Tuscarawas Valley has been postponed and is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, January 11, at 10:00 AM.

Success in Full Swing.

The second semester kicks off with exciting activities, winter sports, and a renewed focus on success at Chippewa Jr./Sr. High School. From basketball and wrestling to spirited competitions and upcoming performances, there’s so much to look forward to!


As the second semester begins, Chippewa Jr./Sr. High School is buzzing with excitement. Winter sports are in full swing, with both girls’ and boys’ basketball and wrestling teams working hard and representing our school with pride. Meanwhile, our talented performing arts department is preparing incredible events to inspire and entertain the community.

Spirit competitions are heating up, with 8th-12th graders eager to dethrone the 7th grade, who claimed victory during the first two quarters. The stakes are high, and the energy is contagious as students rally for their teams and points.

This semester also marks the start of state testing, a significant milestone as we continue striving for academic success. Our amazing staff remains dedicated to empowering students and helping them finish the year strong. Their hard work ensures every Chipp is positioned for success.

From the court to the classroom and beyond, the second semester promises growth, achievement, and unforgettable moments for our students, staff, and community.

Soccer Stars Shine Bright.

Senior Elena Moyer and Sophomore Delaney Marshall were recognized for their outstanding soccer achievements, earning All-Ohio honors from the Ohio Scholastic Coaches Association.


Chippewa Jr./Sr. High School is celebrating a major achievement for two of its standout athletes—Senior Elena Moyer and Sophomore Delaney Marshall—who have been named All-Ohio honorees by the Ohio Scholastic Coaches Association. This recognition highlights their exceptional dedication, skill, and performance on the soccer field throughout the season.

Elena Moyer, a senior leader for the Chipps, demonstrated grit and expertise, leaving an impressive mark on her final high school season. Meanwhile, Delaney Marshall, a rising sophomore, showcased her talent and determination, proving she’s a player to watch in the years ahead.

Their hard work and success reflect the spirit of Chippewa athletics—commitment, teamwork, and perseverance. Achievements like this inspire younger athletes and continue to bring pride to our school community.

We can’t wait to see what comes next for these talented players and their bright futures in soccer.

Our Girls Soccer Team finished an incredible season as the state runner-up, competing fiercely against Madeira High School at Historic Crew Stadium! While they narrowly missed the title, the team’s hard work, determination, and sportsmanship shone through, making our entire community proud. Thank you to everyone who came out to support these talented athletes—our stands were filled with Chippewa pride! Congratulations to our players, coaches, and supporters for an unforgettable season!

On Friday, November 1st, Robotics 1 students will compete in our 4th annual Mini Sumo Robot Competition against Norwayne in the Jr./Sr. HS auditorium, starting at 11:30 AM. This year, 35 teams will participate, including two 8th grade teams from Mrs. Wilcox’s coding class!

The Chippewa Cheer team had a fantastic day at the Hoover Spooktacular! They took 2nd place in Game Day and 4th in Traditional Non-Tumble, while also showcasing their hard work with a special presentation. It was a busy first competition of the season, and despite some challenges, they powered through with resilience. Big shoutout to Orrville High School Cheer for coming out to support us—thank you for cheering us on!

Congratulations to the Lady Chipps Soccer Team for capturing the District Championship on Saturday! They’ve advanced to the Sweet 16 and will compete in the State Regional Semi-Final game against Cardinal Mooney High School. Join us Tuesday at 7:00 PM at Medina High School to cheer them on!
